3.5 stars rounded up.

I enjoy Lily Morton's books, and this short story was a lot of fun. It's a sweet friends to loversromance with low angst.

I gave the original short story in the [b:Heart2Heart: A Charity Anthology|38395210|Heart2Heart A Charity Anthology|May Archer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1517953192s/38395210.jpg|60051675] a 4/5, and with this expanded edition doesn't get a much higher rating (unless we could do decimalization in ratings here like 4.289/5). I liked the views of York, England. (It's on my list, though I don't think I'll be climbing to the top of the Minster anytime soon, even our local lighthouse gives me vertigo.)

My first read of 2019 and it was a good start.

i realized a little too late that i already read this before in the heart2heart anthology (what i get for not reading the blurb) but no complaints here because it's a real nice bffs-to-lovers novella :)

I forgot I hadn’t read this novella yet. Short and sweet. Can’t complain.

Read this short story just in time for Valentine's day, and this was cute enough. 3.5 stars for me, would easily swing to 3 stars or 4 stars depending on my mood so it gets the middle road. This had Lily Morton's signature writing style and character tropes and dynamics in this short story, with childhood best friends horror novelist Noah and tattoo artist Sage who are living in York getting matched by a matchmaking agency and going with it, realize that they are meant to be together after going on cute outings and bumping into the author-signature terrible jealous cliche ex-boyfriend, extended sex scene, and epilogue where they're traveling the world together and living their dream, and ends with a proposal commitment. They live happily ever after, the end. I did like the York/ British setting, would be curious about the places they go to, if I go to the UK someday.
