Really slow. And I get that there are monsters in this world that are bad. I just don't like a literal white knight crusader calling them derogatory names. Really not a fan of the christian element in this book. Also disappointed that I generally expect these to be mysteries, but there just fantasy action books. I've heard the series gets better after this one, but it's been three books now.

Thankfully, Murphy stopped trying to arrest him every time she met him. Now though, poor Harry gets constantly knocked and dragged so close to death. There’s also a healthy amount of mention towards breasts and hard nipples. We do uncover a bit more about his mother, but that tiny bit may not be enough to keep my attention on this series
