Really slow. And I get that there are monsters in this world that are bad. I just don't like a literal white knight crusader calling them derogatory names. Really not a fan of the christian element in this book. Also disappointed that I generally expect these to be mysteries, but there just fantasy action books. I've heard the series gets better after this one, but it's been three books now.
Moderate: Body horror, Violence, Blood, Gore, and Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Drug abuse, Drug use, Misogyny, Physical abuse, Mental illness, Addiction, Cannibalism, Confinement, Religious bigotry, Schizophrenia/Psychosis , Self harm, Torture, and Sexism

I love this series so far. BUT this was the most poorly written one out of the first three. There were too many plot lines, less actual detective work and more Harry randomly coming to conclusions that didn't make sense, romance/relationships needed to be more fleshed out to have an impact. Individual scenes and concepts were great. But as a whole I felt confused and pulled all over the place. I hear the series gets better so I'll continue forward. But this one was disappointing sadly ðŸ˜
Graphic: Blood, Drug use, Fire/Fire injury, Body horror, Death, Sexual content, Torture, Violence, Vomit, Cannibalism, Gore, Murder, and Physical abuse
