Despite being slow for the first few chapters, this read was extremely enjoyable. At some point, I just found it impossible to put it down and stayed up just to finish it. The passion is well-written and despite it developing a bit too fast for my taste, by the end I believed they truly loved one another.

As a reader with adhd, I felt like the descriptions and perspective shift of the characters, made it difficult for me to focus. But you couldn’t call them unnecessary, beca usethey were needed to help explain events that were happening outside of the main plot-line. That being said, I hope we get more from these characters in the future.

EDIT: Upped my score to a 3/5 because I realized I didn't hate any of the characters and that's something!

Sigh, my search for halfway decent lesbian erotica CONTINUES. If I've learned anything on my journey it's that the straights are not the only ones prone to the 'sexy heroine falls INSTANTLY for a sexy pirate and they say I love you in less than 100 pages" trope.

When people say they have a comfort book I never understood why they meant by that. The perfect amount of spice, and drama and I just adore Lucia. As someone who usually reads a book and takes months to finish I read it in 4 sittings and loved every second. My only critique is that it ended too soon I would have happily read another 300 pages

This was a well-written book! I was surprised how well the action parts were written in this book. I could not put this book down! The chemistry between the Pirate and Queen made me blush!

I honestly skimmed the last bit. When I liked it I liked it, but I just kind of lost attention toward them end

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The plot was engaging, and there was clear chemistry between the two main characters. I also really appreciated the emphasis on consent in all the steamy scenes; it did not take away from the romance in the slightest and felt realistic to the situation. That being said, I felt that the writing was a little weak at times (though certainly not bad for the author’s second novel!), and the non-romantic story line could have been more flushed out. The pacing got a bit strange toward the end, though it sets the novel up perfectly to become a series. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone looking for a cute, lighthearted sapphic romance!
