This was interesting and funny.

I wished there were more clues, so I could figure out who murdered the boss. Still, the shenanigans these women put themselves in, while also deepening their friendship, was enjoyable to read.

This storyline kindof dragged on to me. It wasn’t absolutely great to me & wasn’t absolutely horrible.

I listened to the audio version of The After Party, and really enjoyed this book! I was happy to have some diverse representations with the different love interests. This book really swept me off my feet with the murder plot line and I loved investigating that plot point right alongside Draya, Venus and Jackie. These characters were lovable and their personalities were so well done. It was really relatable the storyline of these three connecting in the office over ridiculous office demands/politics. I loved how easy it was for these characters to connect and bond, while still having conflict as they worked to trust and grow closer to each other.

Dialogues written for an 80s sitcom aside, this was highly entertaining and wholesome
