In all honesty, if it was a different genre this book was tipping very close to the edge of being a thriller because the amount of pull Josiah has on Majesty's surroundings was a bit alarming. Not gonna lie I was secretly wishing for her to really get away from that man through most of the book because it was sounding like its a bit toxic but the sex is good energy, especially with him threatening people.  I'm glad that he made the effort in the end and that he would have actually left her alone potentially if she said no. But the novella was interesting and can't wait to read more from the author.

I went into this book blind. I knew it was a novella, but wanted to see why I was seeing this book all over my feed.

This novella was meh for me. It follows Josiah and his efforts to win back his ex, Majesty. That’s it. The entire book is that. Yes, novellas are short and sexy, but this was all about groveling and I wasn’t a fan. It didn’t hit all the boxes for me.

There was a hot scene with Majesty and that’s it. Very rushed and implied. I was wanting a little more.
