Victor Frankenstein is the Twink we all need in our life.

Shelley uses expert allusions to deepen the meaning of this book. She raises questions about how society view beauty, and what the definition of life is. Pro tip: read the Rime of the Ancient Mariner before you read this.

I am scared about what horrors the deep dark parts of the internet have created of sexual Frankenstein monster fanart

Such an amazing book, the characters and plot and themes were all amazing. The reason I didn't put a 5/5 is because sometimes it was hard to get that invested into Victors ramblings at the beginning even though they are kind of important to his characters.
I wanna keep this spoiler free sooo I will just say that if you think you should read it go ahead, honestly think it's a book for everyone.

Frankenstein starts and ends pretty strong, but does some relatively languid/weirdly paced storytelling in the middle. I liked getting peeks at scholarly interpretation and a lot of biographical context in this often-useful, sometimes-scattered annotated edition.
