The creation of man is fascinating however the narration style and pace of this book is very odd.

Victor Frankenstein needs a good solid kick in the pants with soccer cleats. (Every meme you’ve seen on the internet about this book is gloriously true.)

I loved the monster and his humanity, in some ways he seemed more human than the other characters. The characters were all distinct, and I loved seeing the different views they held of one another. And I was glad to see the ending left open enough from readers to make their own judgments.

It held up under reread!! I just wanna be half as cool as Mary Shelley when I grow up.

This would've been an easy 5 star becuase of it's beautiful prose, engaging dialogue and brilliant atmosphere, but because of the islamophobia I have to take some points away.
