it’s ironic that the book i was supposed to finish in high school (almost TEN years ago) and dnf’d three times in the last 2 years, not only ended up being 4.25 ⭐️ but also being book 100 for 2024. wow.

3.5* I actually finished this awhile ago just completely forgot to add it whoops. I think I would've liked this book a lot more if Frankenstein wasn't such a prick and so self absorbed but oh well

I love this book to bits. I see why it’s a classic, it keeps aging like the finest of wines. And as time progresses, I’m sure this book will still hold up

I really wanted to enjoy this book because it's a classic and so many people have been inspired by it. However, it was a slow read. The word "countenance" was overused (I wouldn't be surprised if it averaged to on every page). Dr. Frankenstein is definitely the monster in this story, as I'd heard before reading it.
