The concept for this book was really interesting and I wanted to love it. Unfortunately, I found myself so bored with it that I didn't want to pick it up. It definitely picked up in pace near the halfway point, but it took so long to get there that I almost gave up. The story was definitely interesting and I loved that it changed PoVs, but the structure and pacing were a little off. It's worth a try, but it's definitely not for everyone.

I absolutely loved this book. It was well written and kept me entertained from page one through to the end. Although I could predict a few of the of the outcomes, I never knew how the characters were going to get to those final points. Kate made sure that I kept the pages through her intertwining vignettes. A must read.

There is something about this book .. I can't quite put into words ... but whatever it is, it's great.

I loved this book. I loved how long it was, I love the journey I went on, I loved how I slowly found out about each characters, I loved how I bounded around in time and in different characters heads.

The writing was magnificent. Just enough 'fluff' where I could see what the author wanted me to see, but not enough that I'm trying to skim through a paragraph to get back to the story.

This is a big book ... but as I started nearing the end, like 70% done, I picked up another book because I didn't want The Forgotten Garden to end. Ha! The story felt so magical that I started only wanting to read it if the sun was at the perfect spot in the sky, if I had the perfect chair and was all cozied up to 'set the mood' for the book. I just love it when authors can create a world for the reader that just takes over their life/brain. And that's what this book did for me. And for that, THANK YOU KATE!

Normally I read through other people's reviews so I can agree or disagree with people. This time I'm not going to let any nay-sayers spoil this beautiful book for me. So I'll leave you with, it's beautiful. It's wonderful. Please give it a chance and read it.
