Another one from Louise Bay that roped me in pretty quickly. Madison and Nathan start off with a bank, hit some bumps in the road, (no surprise) and then it all comes to head.

Nice and short, easy to read (listen to) and I definitely enjoyed it.

I loved the way Madison and Nathan met, I think the one night stand at a wedding was a fun and sexy way to set up the tension that was around the corner for them.
Madison is assigned her first big journalism job and of course it’s an article about Nathan.
The two have great chemistry and we get small peeks into their deeper thoughts and feelings.
Nathan’s family is big, warm and a huge selling point for the story and Nathan himself actually.
I adored them! Their closeness, humor and warmth adds a great dynamic to the story and characters.
It’s a light romance with hints at bigger emotions and deeper characters.
Characters who have integrity, drive and compassion.
It’s low angst, although there is some. Low drama, but the secondary story is quite a big deal, but there’s not a lot of time or details spent on that. And I’m happy with that.
It’s all kept short and sweet.
I like this approach to this fun, sexy and warm romance.
It was a very satisfying story that made me smile and feel emotions without it going in-depth.
Really enjoyable and I’ll definitely be reading more from this author.

A cute contemporary romance full of steam and lots of chemistry.

Private Player begins where Nathan and Madison meet at a wedding and their meet-cute turns into a very steamy one-night stand. Neither one ever thought they would meet again, much less that Madison would be the journalist who would be assigned to Nathan as the writer to turn around his playboy image. So far he is not off to a great start.

Madison needs her job at The Post and she cannot give up her new assignment just because she happens to know Nathan a little more personally than most people. They both agree to keep their one night of passion on the DL while she covers this expose, but will they be able to actually keep their hands, mouths, and other body parts to themselves as well?

I liked that they both needed each other to survive the otherside of the PR nightmare, while they were both fighting their attraction.

Private Player takes place in England so it is full of British terminology, that I actually enjoyed, but if that isn't your jam you might want to skip this one. However, if you love hearing about knickers, jumpers, or lifts then this is for you.

4.5 stars overall.

I listened to the audio book, and loved the job the narrators did. Shane East is one of my favorites. Clare Corbett was a first time listen for me, but I will be checking for more books with her narration.

The story started out really well. The spark between Nathan and Madison really started to flare. Then it kind of fizzled out. The best part of the book was the time spent with Nathan's family. His family was fun and witty. They were a really close and loving family.

I also was really happy to find out there was an epilogue plus 2 additional apologies.

My second book by Louise Bay! I was so happy to find this book on audible. It's not often that audiobooks come before kindle/print releases but I will take it! I'm already a huge fan of Shane East. So I was more than happy to hear him as Nathan. Clare Corbett is a new to me narrator. She did an excellent job as Madison. This was a great great instalove story!

I enjoyed Madison and Nathan's chemistry. Their introduction was cute and things moved on from there. They had chemistry and steam, which made this book a great read. Louise Bay wrote another story that sucked me in and had me turning the page until the very end.

LOVEDDDD this book!!

I listened on Audible and the narrators Shane East and Clare Corbett did an incredible job in bringing Maddison and Nathan to life. They were so perfect together, the story line was brilliant! I do agree with some of the other reviews and wish there was more, I didn’t want to book to end!!

Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a light and fun love story!
