I thought this collection had such an interesting premise and I especially enjoyed reading the authors/illustrators comments in the end of the book. I think there was a wide variety of stories here and some I really loved and some weren't for me.
some of these stores (cast off, for example) was incredible and has stayed in my mind for years. others not so much.
I would actually put this at 3 & 1/2 stars. Some interesting story concepts but the pieces are so short they often feel more like a framework than a fully fleshed out story. Thematically I really liked it though.
Mixed bunch. I really liked the first one, Cat Calls, the script with the tentacly alien and the little clones Lex and Lou, and also the illustrated one with the girls going to get their names. A few others stuck out, but mostly they were all really quite similar.

Absolutely stunning collection of short stories, short comic stories, and one play, written as collaborations between Indian and Australian authors and artists in response to rash of violence against young women. The stories all touch on feminist themes (though "Cool" felt a little out of place, though I liked it still!) with strong female protagonists and are so vivid, at times I forgot which ones were the comics and which were the written stories. I lost myself in the whole collection. Time to go back and re-read my favorites, which include:
-"Little Red Suit"
-"Cooking Time"
-"Cast Out"
-"Cat Calls"
-"Appetite"
-"Mirror Perfect"
-"What a Stone Can Feel"
-"Memory Lace"
But seriously, they're all pretty great.

After reading the concept of this anthology and some of the things that contributed towards it I was really excited to pick it up. Many of the stories did tackle important issues such as how girls/women are treated and viewed, climate change and what it could do to our planet, death and more. While there were no stories in this anthology that I disliked, there weren't any that blew me away either. Many of them were impactful and fun, with clear purpose. I did also really enjoy the stories told in graphic form that were sprinkled into the collection as it was nice to have a bit of a mixed media feel to it.

This is a collection of feminist short stories written by Australian and Indian authors.
Some of the messages behind the short stories were amazing and some of the other stories kind of fell flat for me and that’s why I am only giving a so-so rating.
Fast and easy read with great messages on the short stories.

Lovely anthology of feminist speculative fiction, both short stories and graphic shorts. The stories are a set of collaborations between Australian and Indian authors.
