Sara Cate can write. The tension in Mercy is addictive — forbidden romance, brat vs. dom energy, and a slow build that kept me turning the pages way past bedtime. The chemistry? Off the charts.
Where it lost me a bit was the sadomasochistic edge. That specific kink just isn’t for me, even though I could still appreciate how well it was written. It didn’t ruin the book — I actually enjoyed the ride — it just meant I wasn’t as swept up as readers who love that dynamic.
So yeah, 3.5 stars: steamy, bingeable, and definitely worth it if you’re into heavier BDSM vibes. For me, it was fun but not quite a forever fave.

I enjoyed this one but I can't say it has been my favourite of the series so far. I enjoyed the characters but I did find them to be an odd mix and the back and forth with the conflict of them being together was becoming a little tiresome. I am happy that they got the ending that they did but something about them as a couple didn't feel right. The book was paced well and it didn't feel like they were moving too quickly. Overall still an enjoyable read.

As usual, these are extremely spicy and will not be for everyone. I think this series is a lot of fun, and while it isn't the best book I have ever read, I know what to expect when I read one of them, and they never disappoint. Now, this is a reverse age-gap, female dom story, and I can count how many of those I have read with one hand. But it was a lot of fun, and seeing these particular characters come together from what we have learned from this series so far. I think it, and I really resonated with some of Maggie's thoughts, not all of them, but some for sure. I think the message it has is a better way to explain it to, and I think Sara did an amazing job writing it, and how it can resonate with a lot of readers.

i really tried to hate these mc's, but ended up loving them so much. i really pushed myself through this book in the beginning and it just got better with time. the smut was 10/10

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! To get a different perspective of a Domme and male sub, was actually exciting to read! And I LOVED the humor from Beau. And to see his growth blossom throughout the book was Beautiful, as well as, Maggie's. Looking forward to the next book!
