Quite possible one of if the worse books I've ever (barely) read. I was flipping the Kindle pages so fast to get to the end my index finger hit a cramp. The whole point of tropes is they are predictable, but they are still supposed to be enjoyable. 🤦‍♀️
The spice wasn't spicing and the romance wasn't romancing. Ugh.

DNF 44%.

First time i am dissapointed by a recommendation on booktok. I really did try giving it a shot. But she was soo easy and always thinking. She is a mom but she barely home. Josh was always looking out for Jake & she was dramatically wishing for Alec even though he left her all those years ago and she wouldn’t give him a shot. Bullocks.

Overall, not a bad book. Horrible predictable, but sometimes that's not a bad thing. I hated when the characters would fight, because I truly just couldn't take Laura seriously. Char was the best character but she faded into the background too much. Also, Jack was 5; why was his speech that of a 15 year old. At no point did he feel like a 5 year old.

I will say, I love how they gave him a boyfriend though.

A cute second chance , there’s a baby , single mom , hockey ish romance? I enjoyed it and felt it was semi slow and tied up all neat . I almost needed more , it was predictable but enjoyed the spicy scenes and little Jack was precious!! I loved the club scenes too ( working and hanging there ) . It was good but not epic for me .

It was wayyyyy too fast. One day she hates him because he broke her heart and left
Next day she's all happy and is in love with him again

I had to keep reminding myself that the kid is 5/6 years old. He speaks and acts like a teen and by the end has a boyfriend ?! At 6 ?! Wtf
Also the letter that the couple were supposed to be childhood lovers and had this big breakup but we don’t get any backstory ! Why did they break up in the first place ? How come he never got her letter ?
The trop is a very popular one there are tones of books like that out there and this one doesn’t stand out at all. The writing was good but the plot felt very lazy
