Lucian and Sloane's story filled with bickering and hating each other so much that you love them. It scratched a spot in me I didn't know I had. Their chemistry was INSANE. It was so entertaining to read about their past and to figure out smalls bits about what they actually meant to each other. The whole thing was great. One of my favourite book couples of all time.
The plotline and the sudden plot twists in this book had me hooked the entire time. I ended up dreaming about the plot! So many loose ends from the other two books got tied up into a neat little bow. It was really well executed.
This was the perfect ending to this series and I would recommend it to anyone!

I feel sorry for the people who gave up during the second book because this one was 🤌🏼 chef’s kiss! God I am so glad we got the slow burn and mystery of Sloane and Lucian in the previous 2 books because I was already foaming at the mouth for their story before I even started it.
The story picks up after sloane’s dad passes from cancer, and her mom asks if she and Lucian can finally put their feud aside and get to a civil place. You get a lot of witty banter and immature fights since they bring out the teenager in each other. Eventually they try to call a truce, and when that doesn’t pan out, Lucian suggests a one night stand to get each other out of their systems. The only problem is they can’t stay away from each other. When sloane starts receiving threats, Lucian is convinced Anthony Hugo is after her because they’re involved and everything he ever loved got taken away from him. There is a short and minor
When more threats are made on sloane’s life, Lucian realizes he can’t live without her and just decides they’re in a relationship now lmao. I’m not going to lie the 180 from trying to get over her for her own safety to never letting her out of his sight again and finally making his obsession known was both funny and welcome. Normally the roles are reversed. Lucian is by far my favorite MMC of the series. He is constantly saying “tell me what you need” and “I’ll fix it”. He literally built his empire so she would think highly of him. He would commit murder or buy her a castle if she asked. He’s known her so long he can often read her thoughts just from her facial expression. He’s definitely one of the book boyfriends that stays with you. And the spice in this book is the best out of the three. I’ll just say that Lucian is definitely talks you through it.
Sloane is probably my favorite FMC of the series also. She has the funniest one-liners and knows exactly what she wants out of life and isn’t afraid to work hard to make it happen. I wish I could be part of her adult book club for real🥲
This book also gave a plot twist that I did not see coming! I love when stories surprise me. I’m so sad to have to leave knockemout but I’ve decided I probably will come back to this series in the future, maybe even just this book on its own. I will miss all of the characters and their quirks. I don’t give 5 stars lightly but this was just the perfect wrap up to this series.

I fell in love with the characters from Knockemout when I read book one last year. I also always love a good grumpy MMC, and they are ALL delivering! In book three, we explore the complicated relationship between Sloane and Lucian, something that has long been hinted at in the previous books.
One of my favorite things about this series is that these stories are so much more than just smutty romance. There is a single thread of plot that ties these three together, but there are also complex subplots surrounding the MCs of each book. This one covers some extremely heavy topics like domestic violence and grief, both of which are, in my opinion, handled with the utmost care.
The banter between Lucian and Sloane added a layer of humor that broke up the seriousness of these topics so well. I love their friends to enemies to lovers storyline and their mutual “hatred” made for some hilarious one liners and led some extremely steamy scenes.
While I generally enjoyed this book, there are a few things that weren’t my fave. First, there is absolutely no reason ANY romance needs to be nearly 600 pages long. At times it felt like the author was doing way too many subplots at once and diverting from the main story sometimes felt disjointed and pointless. Secondly, the men of Knockemout can be quite misogynistic at times and when those instances happen, I instantly cringe.
All in all, though, this was an excellent read. Sloane was so easy to relate to as a bookworm and someone who truly wants to make the world a better place. I believe she and Lucian are perfect for each other and I was so giddy watching them fall in love. I’ll be sad to say goodbye to these characters, but felt like this was a satisfying end.
