I know the people who wrote the mega racist/transphobic letter snippets featured in this book would probably say I’m just proving their point, but there’s no way around it…defending Harry the Ex-Royal Bitch for the now famous Paki nickname he gave one of his Army “buddies” and questioning why trans people are so triggered by incorrect pronouns is not acceptable, and not even out of political correctness (as they would say) but basic human respect for other people, is that so difficult?
What I really question is less that - their words are unsurprising, given the racist/homophobic/transphobic world we live in - and more how the editor saw fit to give these comments space in a book instead of simply pretending he didn’t read this bullshit at all? Says something about both him and society that he felt there was nothing wrong with publishing the words of hateful bigots…thank the Gods it seems he’s been replaced with Kate Moore.

Hilarious! Alas, sometimes the very Britishness of the subjects misses the mark for those without the background.
