It felt like a lot of the stuff that happened in book 4 that seemed to be setting up something big (Kluge and that annoying little girl with the sheep) had absolutely nothing to do with any of the big stuff that happened in this book. Maybe Meyer was doing an “A Feast For Crows” thing and setting up book 6 in book 4? Either way, an enjoyable book, but not as funny or as clever as the first three.

I really enjoyed the story and the paths it's it's laying out for the next book but my goodness you'd need to make sure you'd had your ready break that morning before reading. All the Brits made it a head melter. However if you've read the books til now you know to expect a few head melting timelines. Also if you can I would suggest listening to this book on Audible. The narration is done by Luke Daniels and OH MY GOD that man is so talented!!! He brings it to life. I've never enjoyed a voice actor so much. I could never read the text of this book after hearing his version. He puts incredible effort into each character.

Not as phenomenal as the other ones, but definitely entertaining!

This is one of these book series I never ever ever want to end. I need these people in my life and I love the story and the world and the geekyness and the magic and the time travel and everything.

As a fan of the series and the narrator, I'll probably listen to books 1-3 again, but this book was a disappointment. The time-traveling was overdone and overly silly, while the characterizations/relationship of Philip and Brit were one-dimensional, untrue to the previous incarnations, and cruel.

I have enjoyed the first 4 books in this series, but this one just felt really bad to me. The beginning didn't seem too bad, bit throughout the whole book it felt like all the character building from the last 4 books went out the window. This one relied too much on the time travel and really took the enjoyment out of the book. Everything that happens and the characters do just becomes I did this because I saw future me do this. That problem just gets worse as the book goes on. This book might have been better if it didn't have all the time travel, and forced the characters to have real reasoning behind their actions.

Another fun and short volume in the Magic 2.0 series. There are a lot of fun pop culture references in this (like in the past books).

However, there were too many instances where there were multiple copies of one person, due to time travel paradoxes, and it got a little annoying and tiresome. You can practically skip chapters 27 and 28 and would not have missed anything. Goodreads does not allow me to give half stars and I would feel too bad rounding this down to 2 stars. I kind of hope this series will be wrapped up soon but with that ending, I know that there will be another book…. :(

Luke Daniels never fails to impress me with his reading of his books.

This has the worst time travel logic I’ve ever read. The fact that the writer is obviously smart enough to see the problems inherent to the plot makes me rather upset I wasted my time in this book that needlessly punishes good characters.

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this one, much more than book 4 in the series. This one makes me want to read another sequel if it will be as enjoyable as this one!
