Q

Too much repetition, hardly any character development - some characters seem to have reverted back to their 12 year old self - and a very unsatisfying "solution" to this installments problem.

I love the narrator. I liked the general idea of the plot more than some previous books in the series. I really did not like the dynamics between the characters and the way the conflicts were resolved. Some of it was pretty crap. I'll probably listen to the next one whenever it comes out but... eh. If it's like this one then I'll probably stop after that.

Not my favorite, but fun and light.

Hubert the dung-sifter: “Is Miyagi the one that trained you, master?”

Gary, wistfully: “In a way, he trained us all.”

It was a really interesting premise most of the way through, and then it just became terrible for absolutely no reason. The story doesn't make sense, and the sheer cruelty of the characters was baffling. I have to hope this is part of some bigger redemption arc because right now it just looks like torching a lot of goodwill for absolutely nothing.

Good but not great i think my biggest problem is the description alone I knew what the story was going to be and it’s kind the one I didn’t want to hear. I liked Phillip and Brit as a couple and while always doomed by its nature I’d of preferred something al little less inexorable but then i guess not changing fate was a theme for the book.

That’s kind of my problem normally this kind of story goes that in trying to fight fate and those actions being what makes it happen, here everyone’s reason for doing anything is ‘it’s what happened last time’ with out questioning it even if it’s against their character. And that’s what I read this series for the characters and they all kind of feel underused, things Just drop off like with were an early draft and wanted to focus on the main story. Like how Gwen and Martian are fighting then they’re not with very little explanation. Almost as if the characters felt in the way of a time travel plot that needed a lot of explaining.

Overall I enjoyed reading it, and it is so much better than the last book but there’s a better book wanting to get out.

These get wackier and wackier. The crazy storyline is hilarious and makes zero sense hahaha. But I love it anyway. Big reveal at the end of something I wasn't expecting. Excited for the next one.
