I haven't read the series (yet) but it was already on my mental wishlist and after I read this book (now that I got for subscribing to the newsletter), I am convinced that I should start with this series soon as well.
The book itself is short and a really good option for a quick read for all fans of this series or demons. I don't know the characters yet but they certainly didn't seem flat, even within this really short story. I could really feel her anger and I can understand her reasoning for revenge.

I get the feeling that we will meet Chesca again as we follow Wyn’s story. Or at least I hope so.

Well, that was recidivism on steroids, and no mistake. The characters failed to grip me as fast as those in Mother of Gods, but the action scenes were skilfully choreographed and the scene is set for something really exciting to come up.

Chesca’s story was so heartfelt and I can’t wait for the reappearance of her character in future books (fingers crossed). I just hope she’s doesn’t turn all evil.
