This story is everything it says it is and then some. It warmed my heart, made me smile, and made me wish I could go read it with my younger self. I actually never read this as a child and, after finishing it, that fact made me a little sad. It made me wonder how differently life and the world might’ve looked to little me. But I’m glad, now, that I’m able to share this with my own daughter (9y.o.). Very simple and complex at the same time. Heartfelt, heartwarming, and a tiny bit heartbreaking, but inspiring and hopeful too. 🤗🤗🤗

I’ve read this before in my youth as part of the library program in elementary school. It was where you read the book and take a quiz on retention. I think that reading it as an adult with the illustrations helped me realize how important having your inner child as a safe zone for creativity and being yourself. As the Little Prince ask questions to the adults with every planet visit, I think about the response the adults would say. I think we become to pragmatic as adults due to the amount of responsibility we take. We lose part of ourselves or we take on a new persona to protect what we have in relationships, property, investments, and our future.
شازده کوچولو رو از این بابت دوست داشتم که یکی که از یه سیاره دیگه اومده و برخلاف ظاهر کوچکش - هر چند معلوم نیست تو اخترک اون چه سن و سالی داره - حرفهای خوبی میزنه، با اخترک‌های دیگه و افرادشون آشنا میشه، با آدم‌های مختلف زمین روبرو میشه و باهاشون آشنا میشه، با روباه آشنا میشه و یاد میگیره که چطور یه نفر رو اهلی کنه، روباهی که زمینی‌ها هیچ وقت حرفش رو قبول ندارن. شازده کوچولو همچو یه بچه کوچولو به دنبال یادگرفتن چیزهای جدید هست و در عین حال کار آدم بزرگ‌ها براش عجیب بنظر میرسه. ما افراد مختلفی که شازده کوچولو باهاشون روبرو میشه رو تو جامعه خودمون می‌تونیم ببینم، شخصیت‌های مختلفی که هر روز و هر روز باهاشون برخورد می‌کنیم و برامون عادی میشه خیلی از رفتارها و تفکرها ولی همه اینها برای شازده کوچولو عجیب بنظر میرسه.
