This book is aptly titled as it absolutely ruined me. Quite an emotional journey. Well-written fighting scenes. Fabulous character development.

Best book of the series so far, and where the plot finally diverges from its (well-executed) use of typical fantasy tropes. Incredible character development, propulsive story, and a great balance of hope and despair. Excited to finish this series off.

High highs and low lows in this one. I need to read the finale before I can give a real rating. Will revisit.
UPDATE: The finale did not help as much as I had hoped. See my review for Wrath for more details. I'm just not sure I'll ever want to reread this book/series.
