Overall good, but the way the Alandra narrator did Luna's voice sounded like a young child and was extremely distracting.

I had such a great time with this one!

Witching Moon is about a regular, ordinary witch called Alandra. Unlike the rest of the family, she doesn’t have any special affinities. However, when a spell goes wrong and Alandra accidentally summons the moon, her magical abilities are put to the test.

I loved the plot of this book. I was drawn in by the concept of the moon being summoned by a witch and I was not disappointed at all. This was such a unique, interesting story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved Alandra. She’s been made to feel inadequate by her parents for her entire life for not being a powerful witch and struggles with her confidence. By the end of the novel, we see her becoming more sure of herself and it was such a pleasure to witness. She’s a very relatable character who’s so funny and has such a panicked, flustered reaction when a beautiful woman suddenly appears in her home, only to realize that it’s the actual moon. I also really like Luna. She’s highly powerful yet soft and adorable. The relationship between Alandra and Luna was extremely cute to read about and I enjoyed their dynamic and interactions very much.

The writing of this was pretty fun. The story flowed smoothly and definitely took me on a ride. I loved the glimpses we saw of the world, with humans being aware of the existence of witches and the dynamics of everything. This was a really easy read and I flew through it within a day.

If you’re a fan of sapphics, witches and fun plots then I’d definitely recommend this one to you!
