Enjoying ECR Lorac books. This one takes place in Devonshire, and the descriptions of the surrounding countryside make you want to go visit. The way the death was worked was a bit ingenious for me - but it did muddle the "murder" or natural causes debate quite nicely. I did guess who did it and why, but since I had no idea how it remained great fun to read.

Another very enjoyable Lorac, and I did like this one just a bit more than the first of hers I read, Fell Murder. Her writing style is just very simple and charming, and I do very much enjoy her characters. But, as always, it is her care in the setting that really makes this book shine. The descriptions of the gardens and the cave were phenomenal.

Not my favourite of the Lorac's I've read so far, but still a fun read with an interesting crime. I had the culprit figured out -and was close to the why, just not the how.
