@katieknightauthor @kendramorenoauthor wrote a dang good book here. KA is a old pro to me but Kendra was new to me. I will def be checking out her other works now.

This was grayish in the dark romance world. It was spicy and hot and I loved. I would of died for more group scenes but i’m greedy! That mud field scene was

a good read

I enjoyed this book! It felt way too similar to Deb of Vipers. And there was a lot of repetition, like when they say “Open your eyes, you’re gonna see who’s f*king you/making you scream/etc” but the story line was just very similar to DoV. I still loved it. I always enjoy the characters and plots created by KA Knight. Her female characters are always so badass and the males are always so vastly different in their roles they take on and build.

I read this because I enjoyed Den of Vipers but this story had the same issue I had with DoV’s ending. It gets corny, not like the jokes or something but the mood of the story gets lost and it starts to read like a “and then everybody clapped” post. I felt like the psychological aspect of the kidnapping made more sense, the timeline was better than DoV as in it took a longer period of time to get from the initial kidnapping to the point of her falling for the guys and the guys falling for her.
Maybe this is an issue because it is a reverse haram and Knight’s is the only ones I’ve read- but I cannot for five chapters in a row get the same monologue about good and light vs dark and light and evil and true evil vs true good and greed and Robin Hood and their prisoner to my prisoners, messed up world and chaos vs order and who is the order maybe we are the chaos in the order and the evil in the goodness vs the darkness.
It was the same thing with DoV. Pick like one of the guys to get sentimental and monologue for pages and pages because I cannot do, literally five chapters, of everyone’s SAME perspective and shuffled monologue saying the same thing.
I enjoyed it more at the beginning but I’m holding back from reading more of her work if they keep becoming so off-topic and break the world building that she made.
Her work is fun, I like Genevieve more than the girl from DoV who felt a lot like is those “I’m not like other girls” memes from middle school. Genevieve also felt more mature which I appreciated and I could really sympathize and believe the emotions she was going through in the beginning but I was skimming and skipping those last chapters.

I read this author more for the smut, than the plotline. So my rating is for the smut alone

I’m sorry, was I supposed to be in love with the fact they kept calling her “my trophy”? Only reason it has two starts bc it was at least funny.

I love smut as much as the next girl, and the story started really good but halfway thru the main character flipped a switch and things started feeling forced. Lost the drive to finish.
