One of my easiest five stars.
I am usually not the biggest fan of second chance or friends to lovers, but this book with both those ingredients served up everything I needed in a romance.
Because- the romance! The longing! The cooky dates! The secondary characters! The FEET KICKING and CONTINUOUS GRINNING.
I had the best time with this book!
It helped that this was the US edition, so the floppiness of the paperback was a dream.
Haleigh and Jack were adorable together throughout the whole of the book.
The various nods to characters from the author’s other books was cute. I also really appreciated the mental health rep.
Speaking of, I am adding the author’s other books at the top of my wish list immediately.
And this one is going to be added to my “favourite books”-list right now.

I thought the set up with the 10 dates and the pre date survey parts was really fun and I was always excited to go on the next one. I also think the anxiety depiction was really solid but I wasn't quite sold on the ending.

- I appreciate the authors choice to spotlight plus-size main characters, along with her inclusion of mental health & LGBTQ+ representation.
I love a friends-to-lovers & second-chance romance. I appreciated the blend of heart & witty banter, especially bad date stories, they were hilarious! The fresh take on modern dating culture was thoroughly entertaining. I can't even imagine dating in this generation. This was such a cute & fun book to read. There were so many moments where I literally laughed out loud.
