Didn’t really like the writing style for Leon, but aside from that it was really enjoyable

3.5 stars. This was really enjoyable and way better than Well Met! The foreplay is a little more descriptive than I like, but thankfully it "fades to black." The main characters are well developed and have great chemistry, the supporting characters were fun, AND I really appreciate the author promoting healthy relationships and how to get out of codependent/abusive relationships—which also gave the story much unlooked for depth. So refreshing after reading so many books where the evidence of "romance" is unhealthy behaviors! The premise was really fun, and although the plot was sometimes predictable, it wasn't annoyingly so.

Note: contains language, is quite steamy, addresses topics that might be hard for some (prison, stalking, PTSD)

Bookstagram made me do it and thankfully it lived up to the hype! I usually don't go for contemporary romance but this one had a lot of heart and depth to it. I did have to do some page skipping because I really don't like steamy reads. However, it had enough other elements of the plot and value to the characters that I kept reading and was rewarded for my trouble. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

ik vind de main characters niet zo leuk en hij was te slow paced voor mij… de storylines die niet met de romance te maken hadden waren wel heel interessant!!

Slow to get going, but that second half was stunning.
