«My whole life, all the shutty years, thet were all worth it because thet led me to her.»

El hecho de que cada libro es más largo que el anterior, pero también me dura menos tiempo empieza a asustarme.

Eva Winners' writing at its best! Cassio continues the gift that keeps on giving which is the Belles & Mobsters series, a must-read series for all!

Thank you to the wonderful Eva Winners for this ARC of Cassio for me to read and review. It's a pleasure to be on your ARC team and to support your work!

I first started the Belles & Mobsters series adventure with book one, Luciano--I've got to catch up with Nico--, and I'm thrilled to continue it here with book three, the infamous and long-awaited not-to-be-messed with mafia mobster, Cassio King.

Oh how I wish I can spill all the juicy, spicy, steamy tea for you all but alas, this is a spoiler-free review. But I can tell you this, grab all your bookish essentials, your tea/coffee, pick a comfy spot and settle in for a read that has everything that you simply won't be able to--no-- simply cannot put down! I was on a bit of a time crunch to read it before release day, otherwise I would have spent time savouring this delectable man. I mean read! Read. Delectable read. Cassio only proved just how much I would love this series on my bookcase, I simply must have to look and pick him up again and again!

Cassio--the book, not the man--takes us deeper and deeper into the world of Belles and Mobsters, showcasing the darker, more emotionally gritty and badass sides of its characters and what drives them to do what they need to do both in their line of work, and for themselves. Scales of deception know no bounds in this book, and it was entertaining to read when the penny dropped with a loud and echoey clang.

Though this book much like the series is a romantic suspense/mafia romantic suspense, this book is definitely heavier on the latter part of those tropes. Surprisingly to my own bookish taste (which usually diverts towards more steam/romance), I was here for it! Mafia romance is still a genre I'm fairly new to, and I only read from certain authors who give me exactly what I'm loving about this genre and its tropes, and Eva is one of those select few who just get it right and tick all the boxes. Cassio was dark, daring, and has one hell of an independent, badass, strong-as-hell female character. No wallflowers here. Overall, I'm falling more and more in love with mafia men, and I certainly did with Cassio Hunter King.

Suffice to say, I feel like I'm part of the Belles and Mobsters gang at this point. Luciano completely floored me and I have to hold my hand up and say I'm still floored by my favourite mobster of the group, but Cassio was get-up-out-of-your-seet-and-clap amazing! Of course like all fictional men, there were times where I just wanted to slap him upside the head and tell him to do this and that, or say this and that, but overall Eva has once more given us a leading man that is a fair contender to be someone's next favourite man and book boyfriend.

I just have one question...when are we getting the next book?! Please!? I cannot get enough!

Five stars for Cassio and for Eva!

Every story in this series somehow gets better and better.
The last chapters were so good. Áine gets a chance to make her tormentor pay a little for the trauma she suffered all those years ago.
Check your triggers.

Cassio saved her years ago as a favor to the head of the Irish Mafia from his father's trafficking ring. Something about the girls' strength touched him, changed him even. When she walks into his club years later he notices that she doesn't seem to remember him rescuing her all those years ago. So he doesn't mention it but he must find a way to get closer because he knows that she's The One for him.

Áine definitely finds this tattooed man Hot and an added bonus, he doesn't make her feel uncomfortable. So she doesn't say no when he asks if he can kiss her.

They don't see each other again until two years later. But this whole time Cassio has been working behind the scenes to get closer to getting her father to agree to his request to marry Áine.

Thanks so much to Eva Winner and GiveMeBooks for this e-ARC to review.

While I understand the importance of setting a good base for the story, here I felt like it took 70% of the book. So, the backstory was there, then they got together and then their relationship was not much explored.

Enjoying this series!

I’ve been looking forward to Cassio’s story since book one in the series. I was drawn to him as a side character with his gritty personality, and this book did not disappoint. I love that his sight has been set on the FMC for years. He has been waiting to call in the favor owed by her step-father in order to make her his. However, what he got was much more than he could ever imagine. I love Áine, she is beautifully complicated and perfect for Cassio. Really excited for the next book. TW/18+ 4.25/stars

Have I told y'all how much I love the Belles and Monsters universe? Yes? Well you're about to hear me say it again. I FREAKING LOVE THIS SERIES!

Despite the fact that the mobsters may use similar elaborate plans to get their respective belles, they are have a unique story to call their own. That's only one thing I like about this series.

Cassio... He stole my heart just as much as Vasili, Luciano, and Nico before him. There's something about the way that he's possessive and protective of Áine that it's almost... Cute. I most admit though he can get easily flustered at times - like the little "shut ups" that he through when he gets teased about Áine. It's adorable.

Áine on her own is a strong and independent woman. She was thrown into a world of darkness when she was kidnapped at 14.own Though she doesn't remember her time with the Mafia, she remembers something that connects her to Cassio. In fact, he's the only man she's not afraid to be touched by.

Yes, Cassio and Áine share a past that shouldn't have been the way they found each other the first time but their stories entwine in a way that they are able to release from their cocoons and turn into butterflies.

This is perfect.
Perfect.

Perfect.

Perrrrfect.

I honestly really enjoyed this one, I thought the age-gap would be more bothersome but it was almost irrelevant for the character's developping.
Cassio being my favourite one so far.
