I really enjoyed some of these stories, I found they resonated with me and shared more of the tale than told, there was a deeper meaning and unspoken words that I heard and understood. Only took a couple of days to read and really easy to pick up and put down due to the nature of the stories.

Heartwarming collection of young love in Ireland, both platonic and romantic. Lovely little read.

Some stories that really capture a moment in someone's life that opens up their whole emotional world - of which I enjoyed 'childcare' and 'my first Marina' the most. Clean, often deceptively simple prose that conveys the emotion with clarity and precision. Might bump this up to a 4 if the stories particularly stay with me, but I had a sense as I was reading that very few were holding weight for long.

The stories in this collection stretched between contemporary Ireland and London or Britain, which felt kindred to my own feelings of conflicting belonging and devote cultures.

Niamh Mulvey captures the fragility of youth and early adulthood with such honesty, honouring the multitudes that exist within us all. The fertile and the futile. The turmoil and the tranquil. The instances of the appetite and the apathy.

At our core.

A must read debut.

Every story in this collection is kind of perfect.
