After reading this book, I feel like Steve Jobs is fairly humanized, at least in my mind. To be honest, I never really knew how much Jobs contributed to the creation of his products. I understand now: it's complicated. But Issacson took me to all the right places in Jobs life, and perhaps, I have learned something from it.

An honest and well-researched biography with really interesting stories from the hotshots of Silicon Valley. On the negative side, a bit much back and forth in time, making it hard to understand the order of events, particularly after 2000.
Jobs was a bit of a hot head and cry baby who ripped off and exploited people while tyrannically managing a company in which he was fired and then rehired. I don’t know what Steve’s ‘genius’ was because he wasn't an engineer. Pushing people to put out the best product? The minimalist design philosophy? His business acumen? Whatever it was, it’s undoubtable that under his leadership, during his second stint, Apple became the tech giant that is today. You're either going to love or hate the man after reading this biography. There's many lessons in this book for entrepreneurs, but mostly it's the intensity, passion, and boldness that's needed to truly breakthrough and to create something that will endure. The humanity and artistic sensibilities in his work will forever be inspiring.
The book itself can be a tedious read and he treated everyone around him like trash which can be very off-putting at times. It's packed with a ton of minor details and often times reads like a History of Apple book versus a bio of Jobs, but you wouldn't want it any other way as Jobs himself was incredibly detail orientated and his life was Apple.
4.5/5

Impressive story about the ups and downs of one of the most successful innovators of our time.
This was a pretty good book. I personally don't like the Apple products but it was interesting to read how it came to be and how it got started. There were things that I didn't know about Steve and about Apple. For example, I didn't know he help make Toy Story and working with Pixar. But other then that it was a good read.

Awesome biography. The author had a very even handed approach to the complicated character of Steve Jobs. If he held stuff back, my god, I fear what that was. You keep reading just to see what new ways Steve Jobs finds to be an insane jerk to everyone he meets.
