Adelina Amouteru.

I give this series a 4.5/5! I loved following Adelina's story and all the characters she met on her journey (Enzo and Magiano are bae ❤️). The ending was perfect, and I'll admit, I did tear up at the end because come on, who wouldn't after that twist?! So perfect! I'm sad it's over and wish it could've lasted longer! Another fantastic series by Marie Lu

Por fin

I hate myself for doubting this book at first. I mean, it wasn't a smooth ride for me. When I started on this book, earlier chapters made me don't want to touch it. Adelina is mad. Of course she always been a madman since the beginning but while I enjoyed her dark side in the second book, honestly I was a little taken aback with her darkness in this book.

But then I understand. The whispers made her mad. Hell, even I thought I was going crazy after reading the whispers in her head. So I guess Marie Lu had succeeded in her delivery of annoying character.

There's no new characters here, which is good because we could see the elites reunion and how the solved the problems together. Honestly this was a turning point where I started to enjoy how the story goes. It's interesting that Adelina and Violetta's relationship got a bright spotlight, and their sisterhood was the one that drove me almost to my tears. I love how genuine Adelina feels about Violetta, above all other cruelty she had ever done. It was so beautiful, even more beautiful than any romance ever happened in this series.

I didn't expect the twist, it came without a warning and slammed me to the ground so hard. It just... I just can't completely wrapped the ending around my head. I'm just... Blank. I can't say that I hate the ending but I have to approve with other reviews I had read, it left a strange aftertaste of heartbreak. After all the journey and struggles they faced, the ending seemed too rushed. I wouldn't mind reading longer words even If I didn't enjoy it at first.

At last, although I said that the ending was rushed and all, the one page at the end gave me a little consolation, because yes, reading through the young elites series made me feel like I was listening to a very old folklore. The myths and the Legends, the way it was being told. Consistent with little inscriptions at the beginning of every chapters, I really like this way of storytelling.

Pain.

Kalau Champion membuat hatiku tercabik-cabik, maka The Midngiht Star membuat hatiku tercabik-cabik pangkat 10.
I'having the book hangover. I want to crawl to a cave & crying out loud...
Oh, Endingnya...
Dia membuat kebijakan berkebalikan dgn kebijakan pemimpin sblmnya, dimana yg tertandai diberikan hak2 istimewa sedang yg tdk tertandai menjadi hina. Dia membalas dendam pada semua org yg sdh memperlakukannya buruk.
Namun ada suatu fenomena yg membuatnya terpaksa reuni dgn Dagger Society. Violetta, adiknya stlh meninggalkannya dulu ternyata menemukan Dagger Society & memohon spy Rafaelle membantu menyadarkan Adelina dari kekejamannya. Ternyata ada hal2 yg berada diluat kuasa Adelina & Dagger Society...
An amazing conclusion to the trilogy, heratbreaking though, prepare your heart bookworms...

I found the third book to be a bore until the end. Bittersweet, fairy-tale ending that leaves you saying
"Awww" .

The first book of the series is by far the best... intrigue, action, death of a main character!? Marie Lu set the bar high on this series from the start so it was really difficult to top. Overall the series was good. It's great to see a villain portrayed as a main character with desires and thoughts that everyone thinks but never acts upon. If you had powers like Adeline, wouldn't you use them for self gain?
