This is not like all hockey romances, this was different, a more unique story in a sea of hockey romances. Also these two have some of the most romantic sayings ever.. damn. That turn of events surprised and held me. And all this French, thank god for kindle translate hehe

utter perfection

I stayed up all night reading this book and my heart has never felt so full of love and happiness.

This was a something I chose to read at random and I’m so glad I did. The love these two characters shared was so pure and full of light. They were made for each other and had a connection so strong I couldn’t help but want them to have their HEA already. There is angst but it’s not super high. It felt like just the right amount for their story.

The way they expressed their feelings and love in the French language had me swooning. The way Hunter learned to speak French just for Bryce is the greatest act of love I can think of. The guitar playing, the stolen moments between these two were so beautiful. I love them so much

I really expected to love this book and I’m so disappointed to say I did not enjoy it. My main issue was the French. Every time Bryce spoke, he added random French words and phrases in and it was very distracting and annoying. On top of that, the plot was not interesting to me. It was very insta-lovey and had no yearning or tension. I ended up skimming most of this book just because it was short and I felt too emotionally attached for a full DNF.

my heart. this was written so beautifully it hurt to read sometimes.

Gravity by Tal Bauer
⭐ 4/5 ⭐

I am grinning, kicking my feet, and maybe tearing up just a little because Hunter and Bryce seriously deserve the world. This emotional hockey romance was everything I didn’t know I needed—equal parts intense, flirty, and tender in a way that hit me right in the chest.

Bryce absolutely stole my heart. This sweet man was so overwhelmed by his feelings for Hunter that it started affecting his performance on the ice—and oof, did I feel that. Watching him try to manage all those emotions while still showing up with so much heart made me love him even more. And shout out to the team—loyal, supportive, and backing Bryce no matter what, even without knowing the full story? I was fully onboard.

Now let’s talk about THAT game scene. If you know, you know. My jaw? On the floor. My chest? In knots. The way Tal Bauer writes emotional stakes into a high-tension sports setting? Chef’s kiss. It felt like I was in the rink with them, living through every stressful second. And the team dynamic? So wholesome and unexpectedly moving.

This book gave intense emotion, flirty tension, and moments of such genuine sweetness I couldn’t stop smiling. No complaints, just vibes—and I’ll absolutely be picking up more from Tal Bauer. If you're looking for a hockey romance with real heart and just the right amount of heartbreak before the happy, Gravity delivers.
