Annoying that I had to stop and look up the French in this book. Then I just gave up since it just was flowery and sappy from what I looked up. The best Hockey MM book to me is by Rachel Reid, Heated Rivalry (Game Changers Book 2). LOVED it and the sequel, The Long Game was just as good! of course I had to read book 1 again when sequel came out. Shane and Ilya, Yesssss!

2.5 the story was good, and probably one that had 5 star potential. But like what other reviewers have noted. The hope between French and English all throughout this book took me very much out of the story.

If my life has led me to one destination, it's here. Not to hockey, but to him. I'll make love to him until the stars fall from the sky.

Plot: 4/5
Spice: 2/5 (Open door, bot crazy descriptive)
Characters: 5/5

Overall reco: This was 6 Stars, easily. I thought Wolfsong was going to be my book of the month. Tal Bauer has this ability to make everything seem like poetry. I wasn't reading a book, I was reading a love letter. To Canada, to Hockey, To this sweet little Canadian-French speaking sweetheart. I love Bryce. Love him. I think I like this more than You & Me.
I loved every step of this novel. Every step. I cannot explain how much I love Bryce. It is impossible. I kicked my feet every time he spoke or had a thought. I broke down with him, I soared with him. I loved this book so much.

How can you not love this adorable little (he's not little) man?:
Bryce is almost as excited to see a longhorn and ride a horse under the big Texas sky as he was to go over the boards in Game Seven. He wants a cowboy hat and a pair of boots, and he wants to camp out in the country.

my only real qualm with this book is that i just could not look past all the back and forth between french and english. normally i don’t think it would bother me, but it just felt strange here

well. it certainly is a book

pros: cute, ownvoices so less fetishy compared to m/m books written by women, provides a thorough look into the inner workings of a nhl team and their journey to winning the stanley cup, french being spoken by both mcs as a love language
cons: overly sentimental/cheesy, instalove, formulaic

Gravity is an emotional sports romance between two professional hockey players, Bryce and Hunter. They meet in Vegas during a tournament and share an instant connection that takes both by surprise. What begins as a simple friendship soon grows into a serious connection leaving both shocked and confused as to the change in their dynamic and lost as to what it all means.

After the initial confusion and shock eventually wears off, the love story between Hunter and Bryce is so consuming, honest and sweet that I was so happy seeing these two characters behave and act in ways completely new and foreign to them. Hunter and Bryce's joy while experiencing their newfound feelings was such a delight.

Gravity is a unique sports romance that never goes the way you expect it to. There are intense moments that left me shocked, and heartbroken as our couple suffers in such difficult ways mentally and physically, but as with any well-written romance you are carried away by the characters and that is what Gravity does. It grabs your attention and never lets go, I was so utterly swept away by this beautiful story that I didn't want it to end.

Hunter and Bryce have a love story that is so earnest and sincere. Another fabulous story by Tal Bauer, his talent for writing complex characters that tug at your heartstrings never ceases to amaze me. Cannot wait for his next one!
