Gravity is a standalone novel by Tal Bauer. Here's what you can expect from Hunter and Bryce:

Starting the year with a slow-burn ice hockey romance from Tal Bauer. Bryce (unsure) and Hunter (straight?) meet at an all-star game in Las Vegas. Ticks all the tropey boxes. Pretty spicy. Plausible-sounding hockey bits. Has a great, scary surprise. Love it when hockey stories portray the team as a found family.

So here I am reading this book for the third time in less than a year cause I love this so much.

4⭐️

Really good. It woudl’ve bee a 4 if the motherfucker would stop putting random french phrases and not translating them. So annoying. ANyway this is about Bryce and Hunter, two hockey players who got really close really fast. Bryce had his bi awakening first and kissed hunter and he was like wtf then had his bi awakening. The only thing that annoyed me about this was that from hunters perspective it did not seem like he actually liked him romantically for awhile. But also omg the injury bryce had??? a crushed esophagus is actually insane.

It's really not complicated, if Tal Bauer wrote it, I click purchase. I don't even bother reading the synopsis anymore, I know by now that it's going to be a good read. If you're looking for a great way to spend a few hours pick this up. Pick any of TB's books.
This one, was amazing! I have no idea if TB is a hockey fan or not, but as a hockey fan, this is one of the best sports romances, right up there with Rachel Reid's (Game Changer series), Sarina Bowen, Elle Kennedy, Avon Gale and Kiera Andrews to name a few. However, what TB did with this story, from nailing the atmosphere of a game, press comments, was extremely realistic. I adored the chemistry between the hero's and hope to see one or two more books from this universe.
The beauty of TB's books is they're not the same, from political intrigue, to police mysteries, family dynamics or sports romances. TB's storytelling brings something different with each book. Giving us readers an interesting journey every time we pick up his books. Can't wait for the next one!

This was so adorable, I hated every single French word in this book but it was so damn wholesome. The falling in love happened too fast and the writing was so damn cheesy, but the relationship between Bryce and Hunter was so tender and sweet.

I don’t understand the whole French thing though because as someone who is bilingual in French and English, no one ever switches languages like that, like yes it happens but the way it’s done here is so confusing and weird. Plus wrong, more often than not. I hate French as a language, but every single French word in this book that made no sense hurt my soul.

Hunter has been admiring Bryce for so long, and Bryce was so cute, and they fit together so well. Soulmates, fr fr

“Hunter Lacey.” His smile widens. He has a sharp Quebecois accent, and the upriver French cuts through his spoken English like a melody. “Bonjour.”
Holy shit, he knows my name.
[…]
I could faint. I could also puke, right onto the ice, right between his skates. “Hi,” I squeak. “I wear your number.”
“Enchanté.” Bryce's grin grows. “I wear your number, too.”

Anyway, I still had a good time, I love any book that doesn’t do the third act breakup, and lowkey I know it’s bad but I love the injury trope. When two players are dating in secret but one of them gets hurt so their lover goes ballistic and outs himself?? Literature. Loved the side cast of this too, the teammates were not super developed but I love how obviously they cared for their Bunny (this nickname is the cutest thing ever, bye) and how accepting they were - no homophobic asshole in this book, victory!! So yeah, maybe it was a little (a lot) cheesy but it was sweet as hell!
