Sweet.
Ps : some mistakes were made with the french translation. I'm french so that did bother me a bit ;)

I could probably write 40 pages worth of editing notes ... but long story short: this was bad

Three stars is honestly me being generous. I did enjoy it, especially at the start, but it got really long-winded towards the end.
Bryce's pain at the beginning tugged at some heart strings, until it kinda felt like he was making Hunter feel bad and almost forcing him to fall for him.
Then there was all the cutesy stuff which got cringe real fast.
Oh and the French.
Yeah French is cool, but I'm uncultured and I honestly only googled one word. When they started having full conversations in French without any form of translation or hint of what was being said, I just skipped the entire dialogue. Sorry not sorry but I'm not going to pause my reading every two minutes to be googling.

I love Tal Bauer. The thing with this one tho…the shift from friends after JUST meeting to “i belong to you,” “my love,” type sh was ABRUPT. like flip of a switch. I don’t particularly love slow burns but there’s GOTTA be at least a realistic lead up, otherwise i feel disconnected from the story and characters.

it was exactly what i expected, which was a fun, not super deep, gay hockey romance. i didn't love the insta-love aspects of it (nothing in the book actively annoyed me though), but there were also really wholesome, cute moments.
