While I liked Illuminae and Gemina same can't be said for Obsidio.
Same plot twists and "shock value", way too long, uninteresting characters (Asha and Rhys) that have no chemistry.
I'm only giving 2 stars even though I found even that generous, is because of Nik and Hanna.

Also this book made me dislike Kady like what a hell is wrong with you, you love genocide (super annoying) computer program. I will never get why someone thinks he interesting anyway fuck AIDAN.

Still very engaging, but I think by the end of the series I was a bit fatigued with the premise. They're long books! Still, there's a lot of really great stuff in this one. I liked the point it continued to make about humanity being a thing across the board, not just in people on the "good" side.

Great Series I think this one was my favourite... I would also recommend listening to audiobook as you are reading physical books, it adds so much to the story. Can’t wait for their new series.

This book was, in my opinion, one of the best endings to the series. I've had trouble getting back into reading as I get older, but this was a book I could hardly put down. Not only was it engaging, but it very much pulled at my heartstrings with how well it portrayed all the characters. It did a fantastic job at showing how morally gray even the worst of characters could be. It was not even to make you sympathize with a "villain", but to add a humanness to them that was honestly so intriguing while also a bit unsettling, but in a good way, because it makes you have to see every character as a human being (except for our very interesting AI, of course. But even ADAIN was an intriguing character with good and bad.)

The first book in this serious will always be my favorite, but this book came very close to taking its place. This series will be one I will end up rereading. And it's definitely one I have and will continue to recommend to my friends and family.
