This was okay. I wasn’t a huge fan of the narration, which didn’t help. The story took a couple of turns that I wasn’t expecting, but it didn’t have one big twist. There was no real character development, and I thought the ending was a bit anticlimactic.

i got this as a BOTM and did not realize it’s the third book in a series! I will have to read the other two.

That aside — this book was not at all what i expected it to be, in a good way. i was expecting a straight forward nancy drew of a woman trying to figure out if her husband was a serial killer. the actual story is far more twisted and engaging. i really enjoyed it!

This audiobook had different voice actors for each POV, which made it super engaging. The story was pretty good overall—though one scene really stood out: a girl kills a guy at her parents' artist retreat and hides him in a well. I swear I’ve seen that exact plot before but can’t place it! Some parts felt a bit far-fetched, but I enjoyed the twist at the end and loved the strong female lead. I was honestly shook when a POV character was murdered early on—didn’t see that coming! Definitely a wild ride with some memorable moments.
