didn’t connect with any of the characters and everyone seemed to be kind of evil. too cartoonishly evil

Absolutely riddled with typos.

Just okay. I was pretty bored until about halfway. Even after the interesting reveal, I still found myself only mildly interested. I typically love this author but this is by far my least favorite of his. Far too many big confessionals.

SUMMARY: Martha, a newly wed, has become suspicious of her husband after finding blood on his shirt. She calls upon a friend from college to investigate him and find out if he is a serial killer as she fears. As the friend investigates she ends up in danger and also learns there is a connection no one else will figure out so it’s up to her to bring justice.

This is book three in the series, which I didn’t realize when I started reading, but it read fine as a stand-alone to me (although I do plan now on going back and reading books one and two).

It was a very fun, clever, quick read, with some twists that genuinely surprised me, and I enjoyed reading it! This had a darker tone than some of the books I had recently read and it was just the right change in mood reading for me.

I also enjoyed Peter Swanson’s Eight Perfect Murders a few years back, so I’m looking forward to reading more of his work since I’m two for two with him!

I randomly got this at the library and really enjoyed it. I had an inkling this was part of a series, and I'm happy to see on GoodReads that it is! Lily Kintner is an interesting character and I look forward to reading more about her.
