Imaginative, if sometimes strange-for-strange's sake and juvenile. It many points I felt like I was just  kind of moving through, waiting for the next pun (which appear on nearly every page).

It's just a pure mind-blowing joy-ride pun-happy trip into a place that can only exist in comics. Reading this does for normal comics what playing Tony Hawk does for skateboarding...makes you think you are flying!

The strangest, most enjoyable, weirdly and beautifully drawn comic I've read in a long time. I want to live in this world.

I liked the silliness and puns, but it kept seeming like it was going to have a larger story but ended up feeling small.

love the art, love the cat master concept, but the plot left me eternally lost :)

Wow.

I didn't know what to expect from this one, a collection written and illustrated by a dude who was making his nut drawing pornographic comics, but wow.

If you're into punky, Transmetropolitan-type stuff, this is a great read. It's creative, new, and almost every page has something new to offer, whether it be a zombie war in Korea or a cat that can duplicate a key by swallowing it.

With this kind of comic, I often worry that it will just come out like a bunch of nonsense, a bunch of cool ideas jammed into a tiny space. But King City holds it together. The supplementary material at the end of this volume isn't quite so coherent and really did a job showing me how this could have turned out in less careful hands.

This was my biggest surprise of 2012, and it was a great one.

I found parts of it more juvenile than I cared for, but also had a high amount of slacker charm. Also, cats.

The art,  attention to detail, and world building are incredible. Considering the length, I found the story a little unresolved for a number of the side characters. The female characters are extra one dimensional (the first kiss while he's pissing? Bruh?). It's very of it's moment in nerd culture.

But, had I found this book at like age 14 and not 26, I would have thought this was the coolest shit ever.

Quick witted storytelling with fun and funny artwork makes this book a worthy read! My only problem with it is the conclusion isn't super satisfying, but it gets the job done.

Great, great stuff. Graham lays in a ton of awesome visual gags, and the story zips along at an excellent pace. His page layout is a wonder, and...this whole thing is just such a great package. Highly recommended.
