I enjoyed the book. loved the friendship between Asteria and Lilianna. They were true friends and always there for each other no matter what. I liked the build-up of the relationship between Nox and Asteria.

I wish there was a bit more adventure, instead of just being stuck in a penthouse for most of the book. The adventurous part of the story came toward the end and left it on a slight cliffhanger. I found the story to be a bit slow-paced and wished there was more adventure instead of building up toward it in the last few chapters of the book.

I don’t know what to say. I loved the way everything just fell into place. It wasn’t too slow or too fast-paced; it was just right. I can’t wait to read the second book. I loved how Asteria and Nox complemented each other. I love how he helped her get her power back.

solid read with a few plot holes

I actually really enjoyed this read and would give more stars but I feel there were a lot of terms and such brought up out of thin air. They didn’t get explained really—which could be something that will be fleshed out in the second book but it left me wanting more. Not in the omg couldn’t put the book down way but hmm not really understanding how we get here way. But either way, I did enjoy the book and have high hopes for the rest of the series

This book had a really good plot. It kinda resembles crescent city in a way. Definitely needs better editing but other than that it was good.
