One of the things I loved about this book was the dual storylines. One involves someone keeping a diary of what's happening, and the other involves storytelling. This was brilliant and kept me guessing. Ware gets me hooked in the first few chapters, and then nothing can get in the way of me finishing them. I can't wait for her next book.

The first 70% of this had me on the edge of my seat, but after a certain reveal, I like the novel less.
Still very well done.

Best Ruth Ware yet!
Actually cheered out loud when Zana was bashing Connor with the water bottle.

I picked this one up without high expectations as I didn't really enjoy The Woman in Cabin 10 and it was a better read for me but I still wasn't a huge fan.  It felt long at times but also read pretty fast as well.  I think maybe the pacing was off for me - I struggled in the beginning but towards the end, I just wanted to know what the deal was.  It was kind of underwhelming without a lot of questions answered. Even with the numerous characters, I thought the audiobook narration for this was easy to follow.
