Reading Annie Ernaux feels like having a conversation with a good friend when you're both completely unhinged but validating the hell out of each other. A pleasure.

all of this autofiction anticipating the pleasures of a normal life was supplanted by the images that were rushing in from the outside to stab me in the chest. I was no longer free in my daydreams. I was no longer the subject even of my own fantasies. I was being inhabited by a woman I had never seen. Or, to borrow the word of a Senegalese man who once told me he was being possessed by an enemy, I was 'maraboutee.'
What more can I say about this book? It's written by Annie Ernaux so it is poignant and beautifully written.

Lo más extraordinario de los celos es que se puebla una ciudad, el mundo, con un ser al que no se conoce de nada
Lo que más me gusta de Annie es la manera en la que me veo reflejada en ella y en sus experiencias. Para las girlies que hemos pasado por crisis de celos y obsesión tener este lugar donde apoyarnos, donde hay alguien que relata tan bien lo que se siente, es reconfortante.
El lado malo es que tuve que parar de leerlo porque me triggereaba con recuerdos de mi propia realidad y me bajoneaba jajaja
