A dragon kidnaps a princess, but they fall in love! It’s good.

It might be a little bad that I discovered this one when I discovered another book with the same name, but both intrigued me. Plus, they were both gay/sapphic romances involving dragons, how could I not say yes to both. This one is the kindle unlimited version, so if I may have to give it back, which I'm disappointed about.
Anyway, this is a story about Taryn a sapphic princess, who is kidnapped by a beautiful dragon named Niressa, because a knight stole something from Niressa's nest. I loved Taryn's friend group of Mira and Dary who are both supportive of the decision, even to the point that Dary was happy to break tradition and call off their betrothal.
This part is a bit of a spoiler, but the fact that I picked up the signs very early on during the first interaction between Taryn and Anna/Anaka, I'm okay to say it. Anna was a dragon, unfortunately saw that coming same with the "golden dragons" trying to get Taryn hand. Anna/Anaka was not sutled about it at all.
The interactions between Niressa and Taryn were cool and I liked the banter and even the smutty scenes. Taryn's father attempting to trick a dragon was 100% not the smarter move and he will never live that down.
Overall, a good read.

Very cute but kinda boring. I feel like it needed more angst and plot. Not enough relationship development. There was so much potential though, it just didn’t quite hit the mark.

I really wanted to like this, but I just got more and more anxious the more I read. The historical type feel isn't my favorite, but I do love me some queer dragon romance.
