A super charming full-color picture book. I thought that Hidden City which is a poetry collection was one of the best things I have read in a while. It focuses on urban wildlife. Which I thought was pretty cool. My nanny kid loved it.

Favorites included: Fairy Rings, Nighttime Garden, Bat Breakfast, Camouflage

I love books that inspire me to see the nature that exists in this city. I'm always dreaming of moving back to the country, so it's helpful to see the beauty that surrounds me here!

The poems in this book worked together to create a vivid picture of wildlife in urban areas. It was a great model for how to combine science and literature. It caused me to think about the different places that I see nature everyday, even if it isn't out in the woods.
