I wanted to love this book. This was too joke-y for me. I didn't really love all of the pop cultural references for humor. The relationship was cute, but the conflict and the resolution were a flop for me. It also took forever for the couple to get together. Also, the typos were super distracting.

For some reason I felt so-so on this book even though it's a fun and well crafted read with inclusive rep. I liked the characters and overall story. Maybe nothing felt urgent to me. Xavier's grant seems to rarely come up, and I didn't really feel a lot of growth or change overall. It took a while to figure out Xavier's age because he seems immature and others treat him like a teen. Many aspects of Xavier made me read him as ADHD, which I enjoyed.
