I don't know why but after finishing the book, I still feel like something is missing. Maybe it's that I wanted more or for it to not end. The experiences she tackles and in the way she did was great. Micro-aggression are so frequently brushed off, especially to not feel even more stuck out than you already are.

A great slice-of-life graphic novel about being Muslim in America. Huda's just trying to figure out where to fit in, especially in a new school. There's a tone of humor throughout that makes this a quick read, and an important addition to the growing number of YA graphic novels. Overall, a great time!

A quick, fun read. Huda's parents are A Lot, but if Huda can get through living it, we can get through reading it.

I appreciated the journey of self discovery, as well as the positive reinforcement for seeking therapy.  I learned more about Muslim culture because I had to look up words I didn't know so some perhaps unintended educational value.

Huda, as the main character of this novel, was intensely relatable and had fantastic character development - this was definitely the main draw of this story. I personally just wasn’t the biggest fan of the art style, and wished that it was a little longer to flesh out some of the plot points more.
