oh my god this book was everything i want in a fantasy romance. the tension, the banter, the plot twists, the magic and the world building was done so well and im OBSESSED. nico and milla have my whole heart and I canβt believe I have to wait till may to find out what happens
Felt like I skipped 1 whole book. The world ist Well explained. I don't understand the politics and fears if my FMC.

If you do not have this book on your TBR, please add it. Holy Saints what a BOOK. No review I write will do this book justice. And I don't think I can put into words just how much I loved this book?
The plot keeps you on your toes right up to the epilogue. There is a lot going on and at first it is a little confusing but then you easily get swept up into the world of alchemy and magic and action. So many twists and turns too.
Milla was everything I wanted in an FMC. She was powerful, confident, sassy, ruthless and so sexy.
And Nico? New book boyfriend alert. Hot damn this man. He was morally grey in all the right ways. And his attitude towards Milla? Damn this man. A true rivals to lovers but in the best way. Nico has so much respect for Milla even from the start and how he treats her in spite of the rivalry makes Nico join my list of favourite MMCs.
And the romance? Lads you are not ready. The sexual tension is god tier. Every single romance scene had me holding my breath like Nico's hand on Milla's throat (oh yeah, that happens a lot π)
There was also so much wound tending my god I was FED. Literally my one of my favourite romance dynamics I've read this year. It hit. Every. Single. Mark.
Just SUCH a fantastic book that will have me in a chokehold (quite literally π) until book 2.

Oh my gosh I loved this book! I was hooked from page 1! Iβm not a mafia romance reader so was a bit sceptical going in but I absolutely adored it! Itβs an excellent mix of mafia romance and romantasy.
I loved all the characters - especially our FMC and our MMC (I definitely have a new book boyfriend!). The plot was face paced and held a hint of mystery that kept my hooked.
The ending was brutal and I need book two immediately!
