Love this book to pieces. I don’t know the last time I’ve read something that had me giggling and kicking my feet and making faces and everything (and wasn’t just fanfic)

Of course, as always, I’m in it for the characters, and they’re the best part about it. Even the silly one-note side characters felt likeable eventually. (I have several pages in my sketchbook dedicated to Stanley moments.) Moist’s perspective on the world is central to the themes of free choice and morals/ethics. His development over the course of the story is awesome. Can’t believe Pratchett made me root for a con-man with “the moral fiber of a rat,” and man, I enjoyed the heck out of it!

Also, I’d been worried that Adora would fall into sexist tropes, but was glad to see that she was competently written :] yippee

From now on I think I’ll recommend this as a great entry point into Discworld.
