Okay. This book got me back into the groove of things. I realized that it was the plot that I hated.

I finally got a battle. It wasn’t exactly as big as I was hoping for; still better than not having one in the creature cafe series. I was curious how Alfred was going to play into this one since he wasn’t a love interest and I’m happy he wasn’t a changed demon. I think that goes back to the creature cafe too.
This series was a nice blend of real world happens with a company and HR and a fantasy world of creatures and demons. Everyone deserves their own HEA. I loved the creativeness of the different creatures throughout this series along with witches and demons. Clio Evans is has a great imagination and I cannot wait to read more from her, with our without creatures.

Heavy on the smut with instalove
Clio always does a great job teaching safe kink and consent, which I appreciate. I liked the monster types in this book - don’t see a lot of spider monsters and this is the first fem spider monster if ever seen. Alex was an interesting morally gray character having to the tail end of his redemption arc in this final installment. Sylvia was quiet and Anne was fairly outspoken. They were a cute polycule. I just wasn’t super invested in the main plot.

As this is the series ending, all the friends need to get together to take the villain down and assure themselves a happy ending.
