3.5 stars 🌟 Anne could get it!!! I liked the boss's story and the conclusion to this series...and especially all these office affairs! ☺️

The final book in the Warts & Claws Inc. series brings the story to a close.

I was curious to finally read the book about Alex and his fated mates. While I suspected that one of them would be Anne – there were several hints throughout the series – I had no idea who his second fated mate would be until the previous book as we only met Sylvia in it.

Although I really enjoyed the book, it was perhaps my least favourite in the series. I didn’t feel the same kind of ‘connection’ with Alex, Anne and Sylvia as I did with all the other characters. I don’t know if it’s because my arachnophobic brain was struggling with a character who looks like a spider, but I felt a bit less invested.

Still, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

This was a phenomenal ending to the series, but I honestly didn’t love Alex very much. His character didn’t feel super fleshed out and he seemed to just sort of be whatever the moment needed him to be. I waited throughout most of the book/series for him to be revealed as a bad guy, but no he was just an idiot who lied far too much. I also hate that so many issues with the grammar and writing continued throughout the series itself that could have been very easily caught.

This ended so appropriately

But I want more. I want to drop in on our characters a few years down the road. See what family life looks like for them. With children and parents and all of that!
