I am so glad I picked this book up. I will admit that it has A LOT going on but it pulls you in really well. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series and this series may just have to go on my trophy shelf. I will say, I figured out who 4MK was by 100 pages in but I didn’t mind. There were also a couple other plot twists that I didn’t see coming. Very happy with this read!

4.5/5 I was up until 1am finishing this book this morning. It's been a while since I have been that hooked by a book. I couldn't put it down, it was a unique detective/ thriller story with lots of delicious twists. Can't wait for the next one!

there was a bit of what i call “marvel movie-esque” banter from the main cast that i could’ve gone without (as well as some dirty old man jokes that made me roll my eyes) but still an engaging, gruesome read. i’m looking forward to the next two books.
